The Divine Mercy Sunday

(Divine Mercy Sunday, 23rd April at 2-30pm)

ST AUGUSTINE’S, SANDON ROAD, MEIR

HOLY HOUR at St. Augustine’s, Meir, with veneration of the Image and recitation of the Chaplet, and Benediction starts at at 2-30pm on Divine Mercy Sunday 23rd April 2017

There will be EXPOSITION from 1-00pm (Confessions available).

When Jesus appeared to Saint Faustina, a Polish nun, in the 1930’s, he gave her renewed messages of his Mercy for sinners. He asked that a Feast of Mercy be held on the Sunday after Easter.

Sister Faustina was canonised by Pope John Paul 11 on the Feast of Mercy in 2000. Pope John Paul 11 was beatified on that Day in 2011, and was canonised on Divine Mercy Sunday 2014.

Our Lord promised: ‘the soul that will go to CONFESSION (within the Octave), and receive HOLY COMMUNION on that day, will receive COMPLETE FORGIVENESS OF SINS AND PUNISHMENT’ (becoming like newly baptised infants).
